Our Staff

Adventure Learning Center, Ltd., recognizes the importance of open communication between parents and the center. We encourage you to share your questions and concerns with us. Please feel free to drop by the our West County child care facility at any time. By working together, we can provide the best environment possible for your child.

Here are some of the requirements of our center staff:

    • Lead preschool teachers are degreed and/or experienced in a child related field.
    • Teachers continue their education in the field with mandatory training hours.
    • Teachers are trained in CPR and/or experienced in First Aid.
    • We only hire nurturing and friendly teachers.
    • We run annual police and reference checks.
    • We provide a safe and positive work environment.
    • Teachers receive an annual physical, TB tests and Hepatitis A vaccinations.

Cathy Taylor

Cathy Taylor is the Co-Director at Adventure Learning Center Ltd.   She has a degree in Early Childhood Development and has spent over 15 years as a  director in the early childhood field. She is committed to providing an engaging, caring community for our children. “My goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment for our families.  ALC maintains an open-door policy, and we invite parents and guardians to visit the center and keep up with their children’s learning experience.

She is married with two children and in her free time loves to cook, travel, snow ski and spend time with friends and family.

Sara Reed

Our Staff at ALC, child care West CountySara Reed is a Center Director at Adventure Learning Center Ltd. She has her bachelor’s in English from the University of Missouri – Columbia and her Master’s in Elementary Education. Sara has over 15 years of experience working with children. She spent five years teaching in a pre-kindergarten classroom, three of those being a lead pre-k teacher here at ALC. Before becoming a Center Director Sara spent time as an Assistant Director.  Sara spends her free time taking care of her two children; one of whom is an ALC graduate! They love exploring all of the family activities around St. Louis and also enjoy weekends at Lake of the Ozarks and vacationing in South Carolina.


Welcome to Adventure Learning Center!  ALC is a premier, NECPA-accredited West County child care center in beautiful Ballwin, Missouri.  As co-director of ALC, I am committed to providing an engaging, caring community for our children.

My goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment for our families.  ALC maintains an open-door policy, and we invite parents and guardians to visit the center and keep up with their children’s learning experience.  Furthermore, we hold various events monthly, to allow families to meet each other and develop strong relationships.

Our teachers are top notch. The majority of staff have been with ALC for more than five years, and we conduct ongoing staff training to keep out teachers on top of the early childhood education field.

I have a degree in Early Childhood Development, and I am blessed to have been a director in the early childhood field for over 15 years.  I am married and have two children.  In my free time, I love to cook, travel, snow ski and spend time with friends and family.
