Our Staff



Adventure Learning Center, Ltd., recognizes the importance of open communication between parents and the center. We encourage you to share your questions and concerns with us. Please feel free to drop by the office at any time. By working together, we can provide the best environment possible for your child.
 
Here are some of the requirements of our center staff:
 
  • Lead preschool teachers are degreed and/or experienced in a child related field.
  • Teachers continue their education in the field with mandatory training hours.
  • Teachers are trained in CPR and/or experienced in First Aid.
  • We only hire nurturing and friendly teachers.
  • We run annual police and reference checks.
  • We provide a safe and positive work environment.
  • Teachers receive an annual physical, TB tests and Hepatitis A vaccinations.
 
Christine Zerjav
 
Christine M. Zerjav is the Owner and Executive Director of Adventure Learning Center, Ltd. and is a member of the Missouri Child Care and Education (MOCARE) and USA Child Care associations. She has a B.S.in psychology, 16 years experience in the child care field, and spent two years working for the State of Missouri as a counselor for sexually abused children. Christine is a trainer for the Second Step Curriculum, a violence prevention program currently being used throughout the United States. While at Adventure Learning Center, Ltd., Christine developed an infant sign language program that is used as part of the curriculum at all the center locations.
 

Christine is an on-site owner and operator and is very involved in the day to day operation and involved with the families. In addition she has a childcare management business to consult other childcare facilities.

Although she is passionate about the childcare industry she is a devoted mother to her two children and continues to grow with their endeavors. Christine and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family.
